- Military Weapon or Simple Video Game? |
Overvieiw:
Do you remember
the good old days? I sure do. Long hours-playing mindless
video games on my Atari 2600 (which I still own...and
works). The simple joys of running frogs across the
road, jumping barrels to save the princess, and pointless
odysseys in unforgiving dungeons. But with all the games
out there for the Atari, only one stands out, it was
the first video game ever made. It's title: Pong!

Overvieiw:
Ever so often
I unfortunately have to sit though a kid's TV show.
Not the greatest experience ever, but I have come to
the conclusion that some of these shows are not the
best thing for kid's to be watching. If you pay full
attention to such an innocent show as Sesame Street,
even that is not good for children. Alot of people ask
why my generation is a fucked up mess. I believe this
is due to the TV we watched. Not gangster rap, violent
video games, or the technology that replaced human interaction.
This will be the first section of the "I saw through
the Bullshit" detailing the truth about the TV
shows, the games we played, and how we grew up. This
first part entails how Sesame Street was a totally not
an appropriate show for children.

True American Pie |
Overview:
It's not well known, but while Don McLean was writing
songs in the late 60's and early 70's, he was taking
Computer Science courses at Harvard in order to learn
about what was then primitive music software. He even
eye witnessed the original Mark II and its famous moth.
By an act of fate, he became acquainted with a teenage
prodigy with whom he shared some classes; a boy that
McLean would later characterize as "Satan",
who would seize control of the entire world's computer
software industry. That boy was Bill Gates. McLean wrote
an uncannily accurate prophetic vision a la Nostradamus
and wrote a song, "American Pi" (frequently
misspelled "Pie"), about the Golden Age of
Computing.
