Welcome
to the old news index, the place I now stick outdated
news stuff. Since there are major things coming,
the front page will be tied up quite a bit. So relevant
news articles will be posted here when the front
page is way to full.

2, 2006 - Digital-Madman.com Site Updates and LinuxWorld
2006 |
|
Big
site update....warning... big site update....
DANGER DANGER...
Okay
its been a while, and here it is... and major
over haul on the site is complete so lets play
the taps for the parts which are dead as fried
fucking chicken.
- The
LONG defunked MTG:Zone pages is fucking
gone... dead as dead can be....
- I'm
sorry to report the Digital-Madman Blog,
"FDDI-Cents" has been lethally shot
9 times, and will not be back. Blogs suck. However...
"FDDI-Cents" the name will live on
as a weekly mouth off article on Digital-Madman.com
in the non-self loathing pity of bullshit that
are blogs. But as a weekly sound off device
for my thoughts.
- The
now defunked GLM page is now a "Road
Closed" on the information superhighway.
I am sad to see this go... but that falls way
of the Netshow and the problems I'm currently
bound up in with closed source (read: suckfest)
software contract disputes.... RIP GLM
- The
Netshow is still in the air... I expect
jack on news until the legal people get done
fucking everyone involved over.
And
now...some good news....
- Digital-Madman
is opening a new subsite, called "The
Mainframe", a place where I
post documents from all over which are real,
or believed real and are of reading interest.
Consider it a reading room for the mind to wander.
- The
Twisted
Reality Comic that I was doing is
not dead, but in a state of flux. There are
comics done. But I'm involved in allot of projects
at this moment. So TRC is on pause. But don't
despair its not dead...
- Angel-4
Project has made some headway. Nothing major
to report but a core dev team is shaping up.
And
in Other News....
Digital-Madman
is crashing the show at LinuxWorld 2006 in Boston....
Expect
some photos and reports from the show...
And
now some announcements....
EVOweb
-- EVOweb is a new project combining software
and hardware in ways to enhance the Internet and
applications for web applications. I don't want
to release too many details at this time. But
more are coming...
Shinobi
Haven Project -- A new venture Digital-Madman
has entered, is a website design service aimed
at small business to establish a web presence.
With front ends, software, and custom web applications
designed for your business. This venture is in
its infancy, and no official name has been chosen.
Its referred to by its internal name for now.
Basically
that's all for now.... more is coming and check
back for LinuxWorld Info and reports...

and check the shinny new features!! Here's a
brief list of them:

- Notice
the 5 different banners! (They are all images
from the intro flash).
- Check
that BACKGROUND!!!!!
- How
about that insane new feature? Which one you
ask? Who cares! Trust me, Its cool... you
should see it.
- Rotating
DM Network of the moment panel.
- All

Okay...
speaking frankly. The site is mostly the same.
Its got a slick new look with all the old classic
feel to it. It's a hard balance. Just start
bitching about it or like it, that's all YOU
can do.

27, 2005 - Digital-Madman Blog (FDDI-Cents) Official
Launch Announcement and Site Updates |

|
--
Part 1 - The Big Lauch!
Come
one, come all!! Witness the amazing Digital-Madman
sound off about anything and everything he
wants! That's right folks! He can blow his
top about a great many things at once! Okay
time to put that joke in the retirement home.
It
has been a great blog launch. I opened with
3 articles/papers I had. The biggest, of course,
was "An Open-Letter to Richard Stallman".
To which I sound off about the GNU-slash-Linux
debate. It was amazing that Mr. Stallman actually
wrote back before I had finished the
announcement here! So as of the announcement,
the open exchange is already 3 letters in.
Well
enough of my yakking... let's blog:
http://blog.digital-madman.com

20, 2005 - First Trip of the Wireless Research
Project |
|
Today was the first trip of the Wireless Research
Project. I miust say it went better than I expected.
Only 4 miles was the top transmisson distance.
But it was a hella fun after noon.
Paul
was a co-consiprator (not the first time either...haha
Johanna!) on this one. We didn't break any distance
records today. But I think it's safe to say
that we are the first people to ever watch porn
on a Linux based desktop computer on top of
a mountian. (While I played DOOM 1)!!!
You
can read a brief of the trip on a newly created
sub-domain and you get to see a beta of the
Wireless Research site (finished soon). Most
of the links don't work, but its a preview of
the design.

18 , 2005 - Rules to Life v17 (The long awaited
one...) |
|
Episode 17
The Rules to Life: Redux
It was a hard fought battle for the RTL.
But with the knock of the keyboard
and the move of the mouse
A console window an a FTP
Came the text file to the light.
Fighting the evil Darth Webserver.
No, but seriously... this text
is getting old..
But
the new RTL is up. People (*cough* Paul and John
*cough*) have been bitching that I keep updating
the local but not the webcopy. So to quell all
the bitching... here's the update. Version 17.
With 200 entries, more than 40 new. You may notice
lower number ones changing... I felt some showed
their age and are/were soon to be repeats of better
ones... Enjoy the new RTL.
(Hit the link in the side menu to see it moron!)

16, 2005 - Digital-Madman Wireless Research Project
Announcement |
|

|
Well this is certainly a new one huh? Well time
to announce it I guess. Well here at Digital-Madman
I'm gonna get into WiFi testing and research.
I fully intend to push the limits and range of
WiFi systems in the most unforgiving area's and
setups I can.
This is still in its early stages... but not
that early. I have secured and purchased "ALOT"
of antennas and other related components. A project
page will be launched very soon with the first
18 mile un-amped WiFi shot. Mountian-to-Valley.

1, 2005 - Digital-Madman Public Announcement and
Update
|
|
|
---The following is a website update---
As of now, The Real Netshow Site is officially
down till 2006 or further notice. (Whichever comes
first).
For reasons out of my control the Real Netshow
server is now down. Technical rollover has begun
to Open-Source Streaming Media software. But current
license disputes and contracts with my "closed
source" supplier (to which I refuse to talk
about by name.) has effectively shut it down till
I officially close the contract... FOREVER!!!
Until that time, I see no reason to update the
site and should be considered closed. I will solve
this problem as fast as possible.
The G.L.M Site is NOT DEAD... just beaten
to a pulp.
Rumors of the parody G.L.M sites death are highly
exaggerated. In the redesign of the Real Netshow
site (Which I got stopped in the middle of...)
contained G.L.M as a side section. But due to
the above reasons. GLM is also down for the moment.
However I may relaunch temporarily as a side site
as before because Netshow is officially shut off
for the current time.
It's all about the blogs...
Okay... blogging is the new "in" thing.
Everybody's doing it... well fuck.. Guess its
time then. The official DM blog will be my rants
on anything and you should not expect it to make
any sense what so ever... you are warned. (This
is coming shortly).
The NEW FEATURES
Yes there are new features... Lots in fact! But
you have to wait. Because I'm like that. Ha-ha
---End Update, now---
